摘要:
Next to its three forerunners, China's manned spaceship Shenzhou-4 (unmannedspace flight test) was successfully launched on December 30, 2002. The payload specialists at CAShad arranged a series of applied research experiments assigned to the orbiting space vehicle, predominantly involving the earth-observing microwave remote sensing, the comprehensive inspectionof the space environment, space bio-technology and fluid physical tests under micro-gravityconditions. At present, the orbiting equipment for carrying out these experiments operates *** February 10, 2003, the space vehicle collected relevant data up to 100.2 GB in informationvolume as the initial result from the space flight. There are 52 experimental devices or facilitiesonboard. They were developed by CAS affiliates, including the CAS Center for Space Science andApplied Research, Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Changchun Institute of Optics, FineMechanics and Physics, Institute of Mechanics, and the No.510 Institute under the China AerospaceS&T Corp. The CAS General Establishment of Space Science and Application took charge of the systemintegration and tests, and the control and management of the orbiting experiments. The researchinstitutions participating in the development of the spaceship Shenzhou-4 applied system areShanghai Institute of Plant Physiology, Shanghai Institute of Bio-chemistry and Cell Biology,Institute of Microbiology and the State Micro-gravity Laboratory. In addition, the State OceanicAdministration, the CAS Shanghai Astronomic Observatory and others are assigned to land-basedaccessory tests and study on remote-sensing application.
